Create a fictional brand and develop a visual identity for it. Create a logo, establish an aesthetic direction, and apply the brand system consistently across touchpoints.
Summary
The Realm is a metaphysical shop and psychic reading service, designed to feel mystical, otherworldly, and welcoming to all those drawn to explore the metaphysical.

I aimed to create an identity that felt magical, unique and eye-catching, while still keeping a sense of elegance. When I landed on the name The Realm, I immediately felt drawn to imagery of mystical portals and otherworldly spaces. Celestial imagery, such as stars and the moon, also played a big role in shaping the design, and inspired the blue and gold color palette.
I wanted The Realm’s logo to quite literally represent the doorway to a safe haven, an inclusive space for anyone drawn to explore the metaphysical.

This is a project I chose to revise for portfolio class. I wanted to create a new logo that was simpler and more elegant for some contrast with my other work, while still capturing the magical/mystical tone of the original design. I shifted the palette from purple to blue and gold to give it a more celestial feel, and designed a doorway mark as a literal passage into the titular “Realm.”
